With the rise of the modern self, our culture honors the plasticity of self: the ability to mold an identity based on feelings, preferences, or orientations. With this comes the exaltation of sexuality as a foundational pillar of personhood. How should Christians respond? How can Hope Church grow in being a Neighbor-Loving Church? Evangelicalism, our tradition, offers unique tools for cultural engagement that both honor the dignity of all people while maintaining the boundaries of Scripture. This 7-week class will explore a multitude of current event topics on human sexuality, while emphasizing a faithful presence within model of cultural engagement.
